Danni and Javier’s Zombie-Themed Engagement Shoot

I have been SO excited to blog about this shoot.  What a FUN and completely bizarre, yet amazing concept!  Danni and Javier are getting married at midnight this Halloween and they story boarded this entire photo shoot and scouted locations. Their concept was that their car was broken down and a zombie comes out from under the bridge and attacks them.  Not to fear though, because this dynamic duo out-muscled this zombie and together they beat the crap out of him and lived happily ever after! We had an amazing make-up artist that created SUCH a realistic bloody zombie, that we had the LAPD pull...

Sky and Eric’s Disneyland Engagement Shoot

Sky and Eric found me after being inspired by my previous engagement shoot that I blogged of Megan and Jason in Disneyland.  It was such a pleasure running around the park with them to take these photos, but what was even more fun was having lunch with them and learning about their unique story of how they met.  Sky and Eric met while in line (virtually that is) to play the online game "Dream of Mirror Online" AKA" DOMO". They were complaining to each other, via avatars, on how long the line was and this initial chat led to a year of chatting online before ever even knowing what each other looked...

Larisa and Chris’s Venice Beach Engagement Shoot

When Larisa and Chris first contacted me about their engagement shoot, they had a ton of ideas of what they liked, including French and English inspired backgrounds, colorful murals, beach cruisers in Venice and the raddest surf shop EVER, Aviator Nation on Abbot Kinney. So I scoped out a bunch of spots ahead of time and we were able to finish the shoot in record time!  We started things off perfectly, I felt, by scaling the fence and breaking into the Tao Healing Arts Center's parking lot with a bottle of champagne lol....It was the perfect ice breaker and then we just ran all around town shooting. ...

Kavita Channe’s Venice Beach Shoot

I connected with the fabulous, gorgeous Sports Journalist, Kavita Channe, through my girlfriend Dori who I know from college at Syracuse University.  Dori and Kavita went to high school together in Florida and she put us in touch with each other to do a shoot the next time she came to LA.  So cut to, Kavita comes out here to LA and it turns out that MY present roommate used to be her roommate years ago!  What a small world!  In any case, we were definitely destined to shoot together and we had so much fun running around my hood in Venice. We decided to do a mixture of looks from sexy host...

Little Harmony’s First Birthday Party!

It is SO great to be able to watch and document my friends and their families grow.  I can't believe it's already been a year since Tasha and Amilcar had little Harmony!  They had a party for her  at the Playroom in Sherman Oaks where they make you take off your shoes and wear socks...and for good reasons.  From the moment I got there, I was inevitably running and crawling all over the place just TRYING to get a photo of little Harmony.  Damn, that girl is FAST!  I joined my girlfriend JoVina in the bouncy castle and quickly got kicked out by a 4 year old!  I don't think there is an age limit...

Michelle and Arthur’s Aviation-themed Engagement Shoot in Santa Monica

I had SO much fun with Michelle and Arthur this past weekend!  Since Arthur travels a lot, Michelle thought about doing an Aviation-themed engagement shoot.  We decided to start at the Santa Monica Airport where we got access to where they park their smaller planes.  We found a cool yellow one as a prop and then headed over to the soon-to-be-opened  Museum of Flying...Honestly, I can't wait to go back once it's open.  The planes inside look so rad! Afterwards, we went back to my hood in Venice and ran around the pier and beach for some late afternoon sunlight.  It was SUCH a beautiful day,...

We are featured in 3 Wedding Magazines simultaneously this month! Check us out at Barnes and Noble!

Congratulations to Amy and Jared, Betsy and Lawrence, and Amy and Scott for being famous this month!  All three couples had the honor of having their wedding selected out of thousands of submissions to be featured in print!  It was so fun shooting all of these weddings that took me from Camarillo, to San Francisco, to Costa Rica.  Although the beauty of these weddings can't be summed up in a handful of photos, but hey...its fun to be in a magazine, right? :) Also, I have to give a shout out to Julie Nunn with I DO! Wedding and Event Design in San Francisco, since they forgot to mention all of her hard...

ltdLIVE, A Conference for Entrepreneurial Women at the Pasadena Convention Center

I have to thank Nada Jones for creating and organizing the AMAZING ltdLIVE, A Conference for Entrepreneurial Women. It has been annually at the Pasadena Convention Center and  I have had the honor of photographing it two years in a row. I LOVE when I get inspired while I am shooting and  I had to stop numerous times to jot down notes from the fabulous array of speakers I was listening to and photographing. It was overwhelming, yet so inspiring at the same time especially 30 hours after getting back from my 6 week trip from Africa! Amongst the speakers were: Marla Vasquez, Nada Jones, Dr. Pamela...

Africa Part 4: Cape Town, the Garden Route, and Victoria Falls

After spending two amazing weeks in Tanzania, Sarah and I boarded a plane to South Africa to tour around the bride and groom's home country and  see for ourselves if South Africa is really as beautiful as people say...All I can say is that I was blown away by the beauty of Cape Town.  There are not many cities in the world I could picture myself living in, but Cape Town is DEFINITELY on that list.  Despite it's violent history and the fact that everyone put the fear of God in us to be careful driving around Cape Town, we had such a positive experience there.  Everyone we met was so hospitable...
