There are SO many reasons WHY I loved this wedding. Not only did I get to work with the fabulous Leah Bleiweis of “Your Big Day Of“, but Lara and Pery may be the most “in love” couple I have ever photographed in all of my years of being a wedding photographer:) Their first look was SO emotional and dramatic. Pery hadn’t even touched Lara in a week and I have to say, it made the moment THAT much more dramatic.
They got married at the gorgeous oceanside property, The Adamson House in Malibu, and they literally couldn’t have had more beautiful weather! Usually when I shot wedding there, people choose to do the ceremony under the Tree and the reception overlooking the ocean, but I have to say that I LOVED the way that these two switched it around. I liked it SO much better that way! They also had two Chuppahs, one for them and one from their grandparents and they had the Jewish Star of David on their Chuppah and also adorning his vest and basically everywhere. These two bonded over their heritage and culture and they wanted to weave that into every tradition they did at their wedding. They even had multiple Rabbis and really kept most of the Jewish traditions for their wedding. I have to say Jewish ceremonies have some of the most meaningful traditions and I love photographing them!
Every speech, cake, moment, and dance during the reception was packed with emotional meanings and blending together the two families and I have to say there were moments that I even cried. It is weddings like this that make me LOVE what I do for a living. Congratulations Lara and Pery, you give hope to so many couples out there about how true love and partnership should really be like!
