I finally got around to blogging about Arli and Joseph’s beautiful coastal wedding in Palos Verdes! The two of them are such a beautiful couple and I just had to share all of the color, love, vibrancy, and culture from their wedding day! Arli is Hawaiian, so she brought a lot of elements to the details for their wedding; from having orchids and Leis for her florals, to Giant Ipus (gourds that they use for instruments) decorating the tables and given out to their guests as favors, a Pacific Islander Hula band showcasing dances from all of the different islands, to my ultimate favorite ritual…having Joseph get his wedding band tattooed on his hand after the ceremony in front of all of the guests!
Everything about this day had meaning and I loved that I was able to be a part of it from the very beginning from helping Arli get ready, to their first look on the beautiful grounds of Terranea Resort, their gorgeous ceremony at the famous glass chapel, Wayfarers Chapel, and finally to sunset dinner, dancing, and cocktails overlooking the Point Vicente Lighthouse and bluffs of Palos Verdes. It was perfect weather and a perfect day! I told Joseph and Arli that they planned a super fun wedding. Although it was small, it was packed with love, laughter, and tons of partying. Their family knows how to get DOWN! Especially, Joseph’s 90 year old grandma that was the best dancer out there and even took a late night phone call from her boyfriend during the speeches!! LOL, you go grandma!
